Mythanical - Master Your Dungeon

Welcome to the neon-fantasy realm of Mythanical, where sci-fi meets fantasy in an electrrifying fusion of mythology and technology! As the player, you'll step into the shoes of a dungeon master tasked with managing a labyrinth fortress teeming with minions of your design.

In this dungeon management game, your strategic prowess will be put to the test as you draw cards containing your minions, build your deck and allocate them across various rooms to thwart the relentless advance of heroes.

Mythanical is my latest project where I have taken on the role of project lead/designer. I am working with a team of very talented people, and we have been lucky enough to be accepted to display Mythanical at i72 at the Birmingham NEC!

Renaissance VR - Philisophical Learning

Renaissance VR was my latest experience with developing for virtual reality.

Renaissance VR allows the user to get up close and personal with some of history's most prolific art and learn about some of their inspirations and fun facts.

Developed in Unity using the VRCore package.

Periphery - Experimental Horror

Periphery is an experimental horror game developed by a multidisciplinary team of five within Unity.

The concept utilises the Wii remote as its 'experimental' feature, focusing on the motion tracking function, which has been implicated in controlling the direction of the torch beam.

Periphery also features two monsters, one that is able to track and follow the player and another that can disable the player's torch and damage its battery, with both tracking speeds increasing the more the player is tempted to look at them.

My role within the team was to design each of the puzzles required to complete the game along with the narrative design behind the level.

It's Elementary! - Space Based Chemistry

It's Elementary! was designed for virtual reality with the purpose of educating children 13-16 years old on the origin of the elements of the periodic table.

This application features custom desgined assests and animations with original voice overs intended to ease the learning process and make it fun.

It's Elementary was developed within Unity using the VRCore packages.

Globe AR and VR -
Educational Experience

Globe AR and VR are applications developed within Unity using ARCore.

They were created for a university assignment with the goal of educating children on the impact of climate change in an interactive way.

Cargo - A Third Person Adventure

Cargo is another one of my projects created for a university assignment. Also created in Unreal Engine 4, Cargo makes use of assets created within 3ds Max by myself alongside an advanced third-person locomotive system provided for us by the university.

I have designed and built cargo around stealth mechanics to really encourage the player to think about their surroundings by placing enemies and obstacles in strategic locations.

Cargo is part of a team effort, with another member working on the interior hull of the ship, with everything above deck falling to me.

Ruins - An Unreal Tournament Map

Ruins is an Unreal Tournament multiplayer capture the flag map. It was developed within Unreal Engine 4 for one of my university assignments focusing on level design.

Like its name suggest, Ruins is set on an island home to Greek-inspired structures. The map features an asymmetrical design with multiple routes for players to traverse, allowing for fast multiplayer fun.

Each of the 3D models seen in this project were created by myself either in 3ds Max or within Unreal Engine 4.

The Floor is Lava - Mobile Game Demo

The Floor is Lava was one of my first experiences in level and narrative design.

Created for university with the goal of producing a 2D mobile platforming game, I set out to deliver a fun and challenging experience.

Set in the imagination of a child, the player must navigate the child's perception of their living room, hopping between furniture and hiding in wardrobes while cleaning up their toys before dinner is ready.

The Floor is Lava was developed within Unity and all assets were produced by myself with the use of Adobe Photoshop.
